What are the opening times?

Our mountain office is open daily from 9am – 15.30pm.
You can contact us any time by phone or email.

What are the course times?

Our course times vary depending on which course you have booked.

  • Private lessons: meeting place and time are decided by you together with your instructor.
  • Race Training: 9.30AM – 12PM / 1PM – 2.30PM. Meeting point: Alpenhaus Kitzbüheler Horn OR as individually agreed with the Guide.
  • Off-piste Youth Group: 9.30AM – 12PM / 1PM – 3.30PM. Meeting point: Alpenhaus Kitzbüheler Horn OR as individually agreed with the Guide

Where is the meeting point?

Basically always at our office infront of the Alpenhaus on the Kitzbüheler Horn. For private lessons you can choose and arrange your own meeting point with your instructor.

Is it possible to rent equipment from the Skischool?

We do not have our own equipment rental but there is an on-site equipment rental at the Kitzbühel Horn gondola station, and there are plenty of sports rental shops in the town.

Is the ski-pass included?

No – the ski-pass must be purchased from the ski-lift station.

Do beginners also need a lift-pass?

Yes – since the best beginner areas are also located up on the mountain, they will also need a ski pass.

What if my children are not able to come to the meeting point alone?

We are happy to meet you and collect your children in the parking lot at the bottom of the lift station and bring them to the assembly point on the Kitzbüheler Horn. Of course we can bring them back to the parking lot after class. Please let us know in advance.

Will I get a ski instructor at any time?

Yes, if you book early enough! For last-minute or walk-in bookings, there can be a wait however, especially during main season and at the beginning of the week. We recommend it’s better to play it safe and book early, so that we can best meet your individual needs.

What kind of equipment is needed for off-piste, backcountry or freeriding?

To go away from the ski area and outside of marked boundaries, it is essential to have the correct safety equipment (rucksack, avalanche probe and shovel, and avalanche transceiver with full batteries- we recommend Mammoth, PIEPS, or Ortovox.) An airbag is also recommended.
